My primary concerns when producing work is the juxtapose between the physical and the psychological.

My painting process starts with the consideration of intense emotion. Then I begin by manipulating and warping my own face physically and photographing this. Using these images as reference, I start to paint first with realistic render and then I dive into abstraction. Each painting conveys a different emotion, some are more passive and some, directly confrontational.

In the construction of my ceramics, while sculpting masks I place equal importance on the interior and exterior. These pieces are made by first taking an imprint of my face in plaster and then using this as a template on which to mould the clay around. The same priorities are given to the more conceptual scultures.
